This is what I'm working on now. This cardigan has been test knit once, and is pretty close to complete.

My brother is a great photographer. But...he wants to take my knitted items with him and photograph them. Since that really isn't an option (would you part with all of your knitted items all at once?), I think I will work on my photography skills and do it myself. I'm already improving.

The next step is to learn photography. We'll see how I do.

I'm officially a designer

Put my first design on Ravelry a few days ago and actually sold 2! The mitts are free and quite a few people downloaded them, but two people actually bought the hat! Woo hoo!

Wow! I sent one of my first patterns to a test knitter and I would say my grade was a D-! The pattern wasn't even good enough to start knitting. I really appreciate the time the person spent to be so critical and I learned a lot from the review. But...OUCH! Big lesson learned about what I put out there!

A New Start

I think I will give this knitwear design Thing a go! I'm a little obsessed with it actually. Every image I see is transformed to a garment of some sort in my mind. I'm starting to get test knitters now and am working on a number of items at once. I'm really interested in color, baby clothes, and hats. My gauge is pretty variable, so I'm having a little bit of a tough time. I'll keep you posted!
